A Handcrafted Treasure

The Sleeping Kitty is my signature design, first brought to life in 2015. Each one is carefully shaped and carved using graphite & metal tools while glass is hot, making every piece one of a kind. The kitty shown in each listing is the exact one you will receive. They are handcrafted from COE 33 borosilicate glass and kiln annealed to 1050°F to ensure strength and durability. 

I wanted to create a cat pendant with a unique design, moving away from the traditional loop (or bale) that most glass pendants use. Instead, these pendants can be worn on any type of cord using a lark’s head knot through the tail. For added versatility, I now include a jump ring made of Argentium Silver, allowing for easy wear on a chain. If you’d prefer to keep your kitty as a trinket or wear it on a cord without the jump ring, simply let me know (in the special instruction box at the bottom of the cart page) before checkout and I will remove it. Each Sleeping Kitty comes in a faux fur lined "Kitty Bed" box with a ball chain & sticker.

About Argentium Silver

It is purer than standard Sterling (940 or 960 parts per 1000), has increased tarnish resistance, a whiter color and antibacterial/hypoallergenic properties. All of these benefits make Argentium Silver better for the end wearer and gentler on the environment, as less chemicals are used in production.
