Collection: Dichroic Image Pendants

Art in Glass

These dichroic designs are exclusive to my brand, based off my original paintings. I personally design each image and collaborate with a specialized company that laser-etches them onto sheets of dichroic glass.

Once the designs are etched, the glass is carefully cut into "chips", which are then sent back to me to begin the handcrafting process. Each chip is heated up and melted between a clear glass lens and a colored backing. Finally, I add a loop (or bale) and anneal the piece in a kiln at 1050°F for strength and durability.

The result? A truly unique and luminous pendant, infused with both art and craftsmanship.

So WHAT is Dichroic Glass anyway?

Dichroic glass is created by applying thin layers of metal oxides, such as titanium, silicon, or magnesium, to the glass surface. These layers create an interference effect that causes the glass to reflect and transmit different wavelengths of light. The result is an offering of many different color options, each one beautiful and unique. The origins of dichroic glass can be traced back to ancient Roman and Egyptian eras, when it was crafted to look like precious stones.
